Goole is a port town on the River Ouse in the East Riding of Yorkshire and lies around 16 miles north-east of Doncaster, 19 miles south of York and 29 miles west of Hull.
The M62 passes Goole to the north providing a connection between Kingston upon Hull and Leeds. The A63 provides access to the A19 towards Selby and York. The M18 runs west of town and connects Goole with South Yorkshire, the South and the Midlands.
Goole railway station is located at the junction of the Hull and Doncaster Brand and the Pontefract Line. Train services run to Hull Paragon Interchange, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds and a number of local stations inbetween.
Goole’s main shopping are is Wesley Square and there are many high street shops and independent retailers to choose from.
Some of the biggest employers in the area are Goole and District Hospital as well as the Port of Goole.
