Haverfordwest is the county town of Pembrokeshire in Wales. It lies around 8 miles north-east of Milford Haven, 7 miles north of Neyland, 46 miles west of Swansea and 80 miles west of Cardiff.
The town is at the junction of the A40 connecting it to Fishguard and Camarthen, the A4076 connecting it to Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock, and the A487 connecting it to St Davids.
Haverfordwest railway station is on the Milford Haven branch of the West Wales lines. Southbound rail services run to Milford Haven, while east/north-bound services run to Manchester Piccadilly via Swansea, Cardiff Central and Hereford.
Some of the local attractions include Haverfordwest town museum, Scolton manor, Picton castle and gardens and the Welsh spitfire museum, to name a few. There are also a number of beaches such as Little Haven beach and Nolton Haven beach.
The town centre offers a variety of retailers including well-known brands and independents, whilst the Riverside shopping centre a little further along offers more stores. Every Friday a farmers market is held along the Riverside shopping area offering home-grown and home-produced goods.
Education in Haverfordwest is provided by a small number of primary schools, Ysgol Caer Elen a Welsh-medium school, Haverfordwest High VC School, Haverfordwest Grammar School and Pembrokeshire College.
As a sub-regional hub-town the local economy continues to serve as the principal commercial and retail centre.
Vesta’s sole purpose is to make buying and selling rental property easy for both landlords and tenants.
