Shadwell is a district of East London, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is situated on the north bank of the River Thames between Whitechapel and Wapping, around 3 miles east of Charing Cross.
Shadwell railway station is a London Overground station on the East London Line that is managed by Arriva Rail London. Services on this line run on average every 3-5 minutes. Off-peak services offer 8 trains per hour (tph) eastbound to Highbury & Islington and a further 8 to Dalston Junction to the east. Westbound services operate 4 tph to West Croydon, 4 tph to Crystal Palace, 4 tph to New Cross and 4 tph to Clapham junction via Peckham Rye.
