Greater London is a ceremonial county in England and is made up of the 32 London boroughs and the City of London. Herefordshire is county in the West Midlands and is bordered by Shropshire in the north, Worcestershire in the east, Gloucestershire in the south and Monmouthshire and Powys in the west. The county town is Hereford, which is also a cathedral city and the county’s largest settlement. Hereford is located in the historic Welsh Marches and is one of the most rural and sparsely populated counties in England. It also has England’s shortest county border, 19m in the south with Northamptonshire. West Yorkshire is a metropolitan county in the north of England.
